Hitler’s chief spy and resistance fighter?

In the Nazi state, Wilhelm Canaris rose to the position of head of the “Amt Ausland/Abwehr”, was first impressed by Adolf Hitler and then distanced himself from the “Führer”. Was Canaris a resistance fighter? On the basis of the most important stations in Canaris’ life and the latest research results, we pursue this question.
